Abstract

This article is a review of the currently used diagnostic testing methods for avian influenza. Information regarding avian influenza testing is needed by all avian veterinarians to answer questions from and to protect the general public. A description of sample sites, sample collection techniques, how these tests are performed, and interpretation of the test results is the focus of this piece.
